Be part of the food system revolution!
It’s never been more obvious why organising and cooperation for local food security is such a vital community need.
The Mullum Organic Food Coop has recently moved into our expanded space at the Mullum Gardens Eco Hub.
We have come so far in the last year.
We now have our new cool room functioning and have doubled our floor space to source and supply our community with affordable, ethical wholefoods.
We’re also expanding the education central to our mission, inspiring our community to take action towards local food sovereignty.
There’s so much in the works as we grow into this space — with opportunities for more local and fresh food, skills sharing and education, surplus processing (our Falling Fruits project), and more.
Our next step is upgrading our water and plumbing to enable us to gain full approval as a commercial food premises. This will allow us to process and pack more food.
We’re still fundraising — can you help?
We are seeking $38,000 in donations to complete the next stage:
$12,000 to finish the fit-out of food storage and handling areas
(carpentry, shelving, stainless steel benches, storage containers, and final structural touches)
$18,000 towards additional battery storage and solar upgrades
(to run cold storage for fruit, vegetables, and other perishables, and support growth in food processing, including surplus food dehydration)
$8,000 towards water tanks integrated into our system
(to harvest roof water and improve efficiency and sustainability)
The Food Coop is volunteer-run and helps ensure access to affordable, organic, and healthy food for local families.
We’re inviting you to support this important work.
By donating, you’re contributing to solutions for a just, ecologically vibrant, and sustainable future for all.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
With heartfelt gratitude.
